SPOTLIGHT: THE TWO LIPS
Meet The Two Lips and tune into her new singles “clue” and “talk”
With the release of singles “clue” and “talk,” The Two Lips are the latest showstoppers in the bedroom pop space. The Los Angeles-based duo made up of best friends Jewlz and Andrea have effortlessly turned lo-fi intimacy into a movement, merging dreamy production, vulnerable lyrics, and the unmistakable glow of friendship into something distinctly their own.
Formed in 2023, The Two Lips first captured attention with the viral success of “still love you (todavía),” a bilingual heartbreak anthem that earned over 30 million streams on Spotify and solidified their status as rising stars in the dream-pop space. Their sound is hazy, heartfelt, and wholly handmade, while channeling the quiet power that can only come from making music in your bedroom.
This summer, that bedroom sound is stepping into the spotlight. With the launch of their headline Kiss & Tell Tour, The Two Lips are performing the songs they once sang alone in their rooms for crowds of devoted fans. “It was always something that we wanted to do,” Andrea says. “We used to perform them with just our laptop in Jewlz’s room. We’d be in there practicing how we’d perform one day. It was always intended for that, we just didn’t know when it was gonna happen.”
In the blink of an eye, the duo now faces grand live audiences, backed by a full band, and is centered in full-circle joy that radiates from their shows. “It’s definitely a surreal moment being able to do it together,” Andrea adds. “Now with people actually coming to the shows, it’s really cool. We love performing.”
Alongside their tour, the duo’s new singles “clue” and “talk” continue their run of honest, emotionally layered storytelling. “talk” dives into the often unspoken disconnect in romantic relationships, exposing the ache of emotional withholding with a quiet intensity.
“We were both having communication problems with our partners,” Andrea shares. “It’s kinda difficult because our boyfriends listen to the songs when they come out. We talk about them in positive and negative lights, and we’re very vulnerable with that. But we try to be sensitive because we’re airing out our business through music.” That rawness is part of what makes The Two Lips resonate with listeners. There’s no separation between their lives and their music, only the courage to share both, together.
“Being put in spaces that we weren’t usually in before has been crazy,” Jewlz says. “We’re just very grateful and blessed to be going through what we’re going through right now.”
With “clue” and “talk” out now and the Kiss & Tell Tour underway, The Two Lips are no longer just a bedroom project, they're growing their garden of force, with one dream blossoming after the other.
